What will happen when the last Bitcoin is mined? Will it all expire in 2140?
Pardon my ignorance as this may be common information to most of you, but this question has burned in my mind since I started investing in Bitcoin about 4 years ago, and I don't think I ever received a satisfactory answer. We can all agree mining is expensive and energy consuming, while more Bitcoins are produced mining rigs costs get covered. What will happen to the ledger when last Bitcoin is mined in 2140? (estimated year when all 21 million Bitcoins will get mined - got this from various sources) Will no one mine any longer? Will mining be less expensive once technology advances? Will it all expire?

So butters are loving this billboard because it represents the mantra they repeat: “bitcoin can’t be printed out of nothing except mining”. Aren’t exchanges blowing up left and right by doing just that? Claiming reserves they don’t have? What innovation is around the corner that will fix this?
bitcoin: slow, Chinese mining pools, energy consumption, not a safe haven, not a store of value. The bitcoin narrative is being eroded every day since this drop. So what is it great for?
Payments? Way to many better cryptos out there for that. Im tired of the BTC maxis saying bitcoin is made for this liquidity crunch. Its simply a speculative asset. Thats it, the space has moved too far ahead. That being said, I hodl and I think this is going to pump hard. If this is a truly manipulated market there has never been a time like right now for the manipulators to push this market up and drag money into the crypto sphere.
